Here I am, let's talk about this wonderful style, I'll give you some information about the term first...
The term "Boho" is short for Bohemian and many of us already knew this, this word comes out around the 19th century in France and includes all those artists (writers, actors, musicians, poets...) with a lifestyle unconventional , with a rebellious attitude And totally oblivious to the thoughts of others towards them ( keep these three characteristics in mind).
These artists, although they did not come from poor families, concentrated in the slums of the Gitani neighborhoods which, perhaps, due to the fact that they were nomads and wanderers, were believed to come from Bohemia and were therefore Bohemians.
Bohemians = inhabitants of Bohemia (central western Czech Republic), who moved to France after the mid-1600s (due to the Thirty Years War). The term Bohemia was attributed by the Celtic tribe (Boi) who lived in that area.
Maybe it's less cool as a non-French, but if you want, we find very similar traits to the Bohème in the Scapigliatura movement "a few" years earlier (mid 1800), in northern Italy.
Everything that will derive from this mixture of folklore, WE, will recognize it only at the beginning of the 2000s as a real STYLE, when, more and more models and show business personalities will abandon themselves to a nonconformist way of living and dressing ( boho) but refined (chic) or better, as I like to call it, RESEARCHLY GYPSY.
